Since the 1990s, the basic idea behind Mannheim Pharmaceuticals GmbH has been based on the experience of the founders in the clinical testing of naturopathic therapies and natural remedies, primarily in the field of cancer research. Similar to cancer, there are also deficits in therapy for other serious diseases; either there are no or at least no causal therapeutic options, especially in the case of viral diseases.
The company was founded in Mannheim in 2009 by chemical engineer Alina Waldmann and pharmaceutical salesman Hans-Joachim Schmied.
The goal of the company is to isolate the effective principles in the respective remedies or to standardize the remedies themselves on these effective ingredients, to test them lege artis in a university environment, to achieve regulatory approval for medicinal products and to successfully market the preparations .
The company implements its own product ideas, but also makes its know-how available to external companies as a service provider. Specialists in the individual departments who work on these projects, e.g. T. have been involved for years and helped to found the company, form an informal network.

The company is an innovation network based on supply chain management. Such innovative and superior forms of organization are often found in the areas of research and development. Mannheim Pharmaceuticals GmbH works primarily on solving problems in the field of phytopharmacy on the basis of today's scientific standards.
Information from different specialist areas is required for the development of health products (medical devices, pharmaceuticals). Four fields of work can be named here for the projects within Mannheim Pharmaceuticals GmbH:
1) Detailed knowledge of natural chemical chemistry
In the laboratory, with the appropriate know-how, the effective natural substances must be isolated and made available to the clinicians.
2) Pharmaceutical Expertise
Suitable dosage forms for pharmaceuticals, medical devices, etc. must be prepared and tested both experimentally and clinically.
3) Approval know-how
The products must be checked and approved according to pharmaceutical law or certified according to the Medical Devices Act.
4) Pharmaceutical Market
To support the distribution of certain preparations, we can use our knowledge of existing market structures and appropriate marketing tools.
In the company, the different professional competencies (detailed knowledge of natural chemical chemistry, pharmaceutical expertise, medical know-how, knowledge of the pharmaceutical market) are brought together in a targeted manner. This synopsis creates platforms for various projects that
a) allow an optimal combination of the best sub-competences. In established business structures, companies initially always fall back on their own staff and resources.
b) This enables Mannheim Pharmaceuticals GmbH to carry out development work for drugs and medical devices in a much shorter time.
Through the mature and tried-and-tested structure of our informal network and the experience of the founders in dealing with interdisciplinary working groups, projects can be implemented promptly.
